Vicky Kaushal to play Lord Parashurama in Mahavatar; first look revealed

Actor Vicky Kaushal is set to star in Mahavatar, an upcoming mythological film directed by Amar Kaushik. The makers of the film, Maddock Films, announced the project along with other details on Wednesday (Nov 13).

The first look of the film was revealed in two photos and a brief clip, showing Kaushal in an intense portrayal. He appears with long hair and a beard, exuding a fierce demeanor. In the announcement poster, he is seen wearing a dhoti and carrying an axe, embodying the fierce spirit of his character.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Mahavatar will feature Kaushal as Parashurama, one of the Chiranjeevis—an eternal warrior of dharma. The film is scheduled for a Christmas release in 2026.
