Shah Rukh Khan Receives Death Threat: Caller Warns Mumbai Police from Outside Mannat

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan received a death threat, which Mumbai Police confirmed on Tuesday evening, November 5, around 8 PM. The caller, who identified himself as “Hindustani,” claimed to be calling from outside Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan’s residence in Mumbai.

The caller reportedly told the police, “I am calling Shahrukh from Mannat Bandstand. If he doesn’t give me 50 lakhs, I will kill him.” When the police questioned him about his identity and motive, the caller replied, “It doesn’t matter, if you want to mention, you can write my name as Hindustani.” Following the threat, a Mumbai Police team was dispatched to Raipur to investigate further. A case was registered at Bandra Police Station under various sections related to criminal intimidation. No arrests have been made yet, and Shah Rukh Khan has not publicly responded to the threat.

The actor has been under tight security for some time. In 2023, Shah Rukh confirmed receiving death threats after the success of his films Pathaan and Jawan. In October 2023, he was provided with Y+ security due to safety concerns.

This latest threat to Shah Rukh comes shortly after his friend and fellow Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, also received a death threat. Salman has been dealing with threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi related to the blackbuck poaching case. Recently, the Mumbai traffic control room received a new message threatening Salman, demanding that he pay Rs 5 crore or offer an apology at a temple. The accused, identified as Bhikha Ram, aka Vikram, from Jalore, Rajasthan, was arrested shortly afterward.
