Elon Musk Responds to ‘We Need Your Help Removing Trudeau’ Post
Billionaire Elon Musk has hinted at the potential downfall of Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, in the upcoming Canadian federal election, set to take place on or before October 2025. “He will be gone in the upcoming election,” Musk commented on social media in response to a user asking for his help to oust Trudeau.
The exchange began when a Swedish journalist shared an update on the recent collapse of the German government, suggesting the possibility of a snap election. Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, reacted by calling German Chancellor Olaf Scholz a “fool” after his coalition government’s breakdown.
Following this, another user appealed to Musk, saying, “Elon Musk, we need your help in Canada getting rid of Trudeau.”
Musk has previously criticized Trudeau’s administration, accusing it of stifling free speech. Last year, he labeled Canada’s mandate for online streaming platforms to register for regulatory controls as “shameful” and accused Trudeau of “crushing free speech in Canada.”
Earlier in February 2022, when Trudeau invoked emergency powers to handle protests against vaccine mandates, Musk compared him to Adolf Hitler. Responding to a post on the government’s directive to banks to block funds for protesters, Musk shared a meme featuring a photo of Hitler with the caption, “Stop comparing me to Justin Trudeau,” followed by “I had a budget.”
