Mirzapur Movie: Farhan Akhtar has officially announced that Mirzapur is being turned into a film, with a release planned for 2026. The announcement featured the main cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu. Unlike the series, fans will need to watch it in theatres. Streaming will be available eight weeks later.

Mirzapur Movie: Ab bhaukaal aur bada hoga because Mirzapur: The Film is coming! Farhan Akhtar has officially announced that the popular series Mirzapur is being turned into a film. He shared this exciting news on Instagram, posting a video featuring the main cast, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi along with Abhishek Banerjee who plays the role of the Compounder in the series along with other actors.

Dropping the video, he captioned, “Ab bhaukaal bhi bada hoga, aur parda bhi. #MirzapurTheFilm, coming soon.” The makers unveiled the clip and it seems that the beloved Mirzapur story will transition from the small screen to theatres. The video also hinted at Divyenndu’s return, and Abhishek Banerjee made an appearance as well. You can check out the announcement video below.

Unlike the three seasons that viewers enjoyed at home, the cast mentioned that fans will now need to go to a cinema to experience Mirzapur. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and created by Puneet Krishna, the film is slated to release in 2026. Following the announcement, the film will also be available for streaming to Prime members in India and over 240 countries eight weeks after its release.

Recently director – Content Licensing, Prime Video India Manish Menghani expressed his excitement over expanding the Mirzapur franchise. He told Variety, “With its nuanced characters, unforgettable dialogues, and riveting storyline, Mirzapur has established itself as one of the most-loved franchises among audiences of today’s era. We take pride in crafting tailored content that reflects the diverse tastes of our viewers and are committed to backing local stories that resonate deeply and engage on a personal level, allowing them to connect with narratives that are both authentic and immersive.”
