Realme GT 7 Pro India launch date announced. Features expected from Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered phone
Realme GT 7 Pro would be the first phone to ship with Snapdragon 8 Elite in India with improved Gen AI features natively and Android 15 out of the box
The Realme GT 7 Pro is confirmed to launch in India on November 26, 2024. The official announcement comes on the same day—November 4–the phone breaks cover in China. The GT 7 Pro will be among the first—possibly THE first—smartphones in India to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, a high-end mobile processor that aspires to bring “PC-level” performance into the palm of your hand.
The Realme GT 7 Pro is not the first smartphone to launch with the SD 8 Elite. Back home in China, it’s been bested by Xiaomi (Xiaomi 15), OnePlus (OnePlus 13), iQOO (iQOO 13) and Honor (Honor Magic 7). The chip itself has launched earlier than usual, in the last week of October. Its big USP feature being the Qualcomm-made Oryon CPU that’s seemingly capable of delivering clock speeds as high as 4.32GHz. But we digress.
Realme GT 7 Pro: What we know so far
Coming back to the GT 7 Pro, this phone will be Realme’s first true flagship in India in years. The Oppo-spinoff until very recently, focused all its energy on affordable midrange flagships or flagship killers as they are more popularly called. The Realme GT 7 Pro is a hard reset on both strategy and the company’s growing ambitions in the world’s fastest growing smartphone market.
The Realme GT 7 Pro is set to come with an 8T LTPO ‘Eco-Sky Screen’ quad micro-curved display, co-developed with Samsung Display. It will support Dolby Vision HDR10+, offer 6,000 nits HDR brightness mode, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and cover 120 percent ultra-wide P3 colour gamut. The phone is also confirmed to get IP68/69 water and dust resistance.
It will come with what Realme is calling Next AI, a suit of AI tools including Sketch to Image, AI Motion Deblur and AI Telephoto Ultra Clarity and more. More details about hardware and software should be revealed at the phone’s China launch so stay tuned for more updates.
