Skoda Kylaq compact SUV launched in India at Rs. 7.89 lakh
Skoda India has launched the Kylaq SUV at a starting price of Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), with the prices of other variants set to be announced on December 2. The Kylaq, measuring just under four meters with a wheelbase of 2,566mm, features Skoda’s signature butterfly grille in gloss black, flanked by LED headlamps and integrated DRLs. The SUV also includes 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, and LED tail lamps.
In terms of features, the Kylaq is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an eight-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, an electric sunroof, powered and cooled front seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, six airbags, and a tire pressure monitor. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine delivering 114bhp and 178Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Once the full price list is revealed, the Kylaq will compete with models like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Mahindra XUV 3OO.
